Your Name is What Jessica

Today's victim, a girl named Jessica, wanted her name tattooed in Hebrew. Check out her tattoo:

Those of you familiar with Hebrew, can notice two interesting facts:

The tattoo is written in script
It actually says Jetsica

I had to mention the writing being in script, as it suggests that this tattoo was composed by a native speaker - either a stupid or a drunk one. He used the Hebrew letter Tsadi for the S in Jessica, even though Tsadi sounds nothing like S. Tsadi doesn't even have an equivalent letter in English, and it sounds like "ts" or like "zz" in pizza.

The correct way to write Jessica in Hebrew, is by using a Samekh - it sounds exactly like S. You can see two versions of Jessica below, the first written in script (my own handwriting) and the second is in print.

Agony caused plastic thrown into Sea Turtle writhes in pain as drinking straw is pulled from its Nose

This distressing footage shows the dangers of plastic and the detrimental effects it can have on marine wildlife if disposed of irresponsibly.

A male Olive Ridley sea turtle was discovered with a 12cm plastic straw lodged inside its nose in Costa Rican waters.

A research team rescued the turtle and explained, alongside a video of the removal procedure, that they first believed the foreign object was a parasitic worm.

They then set about attempting to remove it with the limited tools at their disposal and discovered that it was in fact a straw.

The team decided that a pair of pliers would be the best tool to pull the object free.

Why is no one talking about this massive oil spill thats polluting the gulf of mexico

A few weeks ago, a pipeline was severely damaged at a Royal Dutch Shell deepwater production field, reportedly 100 miles off the Louisiana coastline. They claim an estimated 90,000 gallons of crude oil went into the Gulf of Mexico before they were able to contain the leak.

That being said, On Wings of Care, a nonprofit environmental watchdog group that flew ECOGIG scientist Ian McDonald over the spill, estimated that the official numbers were grossly inaccurate. They noted that the oil slick covered over 5 square nautical miles, or about 5,000 acres. McDonald says:

”Even if the average thickness of the visible oil were a mere 100 micron (0.1 millimeter, vastly smaller than the areas of emulsified oil that stretch across the area), the visible surface oil would represent about 500,000 gallons of oil. We haven’t seen images like this since the BP disaster of 2010.”

Their plane had to stay above 1,000 feet to avoid what was described as a “very uncomfortable smell of oil.” Those aboard also spotted a pod of about 50 dolphins swimming near the slick.

The spill was first reported Thursday, May 12, after a Shell helicopter reported seeing an oily sheen near four subsea wells. SkyTruth, a West Virginia-based environmental watchdog group, pointed to the accidental nature of the leak’s discovery.

That’s right: a modern pipeline at a high-tech deepwater development project leaked thousands of gallons of oil, and that leak was accidentally discovered.

Not because high-tech telemetry on the pipeline signaled an alarm due to a drop in pressure; not because flow metering detected a difference between what was going in one end of the pipe vs. what was coming out the other.

How long would this leak have continued, if not for the sheer luck of having a vigilant pilot happening by?

SkyTruth also raised important questions about the slowness and inadequacy of the spill response and cleanup, as well as the federal government’s continuing approvals of drilling permit applications with inadequate spill response plans:

”Our government is indulging in a troubling fantasy that is eagerly abetted by the oil industry and pro-drilling politicians, dressing up deepwater offshore drilling as a safe operation so they can continue to rubber-stamp permit applications that contain laughable oil-spill response plans.

But as Shell just demonstrated, this emperor has no clothes. When will our government and the global oil industry wake up to this reality and get serious about oil spill response? If the BP/Deepwater Horizon spill wasn’t a disaster big and costly enough to provoke a serious overhaul, then what will it take?”

This latest spill comes amid a growing movement to halt the issuance of new offshore oil and gas drilling leases.

Though the Obama administration recently removed the Atlantic from the list of places where it was considering allowing new oil and gas leasing, the Gulf remains on that list, with up to 10 more lease sales planned over the next five years, as does the Arctic.

How long would this leak have continued, if not for the sheer luck of having a vigilant pilot happening by?

From May 3 through May 15, there were more than 20 protest actions involving some 30,000 people on six continents as part of an action called “Break Free From Fossil Fuels.” They included actions at the world’s largest coal port in Australia, a coal ash disposal site in Turkey and an oil refinery in Washington state.

The very day the Shell leak was discovered, a rally to protest new Gulf oil and gas leases was held at a U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management public hearing on leasing held in New Orleans. The agency is collecting public comments on the proposed leasing plan until June 6 and aims to finalize the plan by year’s end.

This past Sunday, more than 1,000 people gathered outside the White House and marched to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to protest offshore drilling.

Among the speakers was Monique Verdin, a resident of southern Louisiana’s St. Bernard Parish and a member of the United Houma Nation.

“When the oil tides rolled in, back in 2010, coastal communities across the Gulf witnessed the devastating gambles taken to harvest fossil fuels off our shores and in our waters.

We are on the front lines, witnessing the side effects of extreme extraction, ranging from rising sea levels to tainted waters to more violent and unpredictable weather,” Verdin said.

“That’s why we are calling on President Obama to refuse any new leases in his offshore drilling plan and protect the Alaskan Arctic and Gulf South waters, wildlife and ways of life. It is time we break free from fossil fuels and build the just transition to renewable and sustainable solutions.”

Almost no children in France are medicated for ADHD This is how they define treat it

The French do not recognize ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) rejecting the idea that medicines that are usually prescribed for the condition are at all helpful.

These two very different cultures have different ADHD levels in children, in America the rate is 19 percent, and in France, it’s .5% – a half of a percent. For that half percent, the treatment includes no chemical or medicine whatsoever, opting for older fashioned methods.

French children are subjected to much less sugar and additive-laden foods. Sugary cereals, fast food and fizzy drinks are consumed in much less volume than in the U.S, they are not shown the same advert driven television programs and lead an altogether more simple life.

In 1998, Dr. Edward C. Hamlyn of the Royal College of General Practitioners said, “ADHD is fraud intended to justify starting children on a life of drug addiction". One of the founding fathers of ADHD as a medical psychiatric disorder, Leon Eisenberg, confessed on his deathbed in 2009 at the age of 87, “ADHD is a prime example of a fictitious disease.” The evidence is overwhelming that the 'treatment' for this 'condition' is a fraud.

Cognitive therapy was traded in for drugs a long time ago. Doctors are urged to write prescriptions as the government and BigPharma are in it together.

Psychiatrists were known to give all of 15 minutes time to a patient and be writing out a prescription for pharmaceuticals. Only drastic circumstances would allow for a review of the prescription, as patients' complaints fell on the deaf ears.

This culture of giving pills away like candy resulted in children as young as three be prescribed drungs such as Ritalin (methylphenidate) and Adderall (amphetamine, dextroamphetamine mixed salts), without any other methods being tried first. There are now 5 million children in the U.S. on Ritalin or Adderall who have been resigned to either a life sentence of these drugs, or the awful process of weening themselves off them if they decide to do so.

In an Oligarchy Voting is a Tool to Manufacture the Illusion of Consent

If there’s one thing we’ve learned so far from election 2016 it’s that the American people do not understand their government.

The perception is that we have a democracy, and that in this democracy we the people have vested power in our government which we exercise through the act of voting. ‘Throw the bastards out,’ has long since been the war cry of the impotent democrat, yet we no longer even have a democracy to cling to, and although most people choose to ignore it, this fact of life has been visible for decades.

An oligarchical government is a form of rule in which a small group of wealthy individuals have control over the critical mechanisms of state power, industry and economy. These people are unelected, unaccountable and they exercise control on behalf of their personal financial interests, drawing on the productive power of a nation to support their lifestyles and geopolitical ambitions. The ruling class in such a nation is often comprised of dynastic families who pass the baton of power back and forth between themselves, managing the illusion of change and evolution while never actually ceding their franchise over the masses.

The Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton phenomenon is a contemporary example of this exchange.

In 2014, a Princeton study in the academic journal Perspectives on Politics published their conclusion that America had officially transitioned to an oligarchy. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has even recently made comments to this effect, telling Oprah Winfrey and her audience that ‘now it’s just an oligarchy.’ These two warnings follow decades of comments and public admissions by former presidentsand key political figures warning us that our country was being taken over by shadowy financial interests.

Inarguably, there is an invisible government running America, yet we are still urged to cast our vote for president every four years. Why do they allow us to participate in this charade if they know our vote doesn’t make any difference?

Voting as a Tool to Create the Illusion of Consent

Even many true dictatorships hold political elections as tools to manufacture the illusion of consent for their party. Stalin is perhaps the most astounding example of this, for, during his rule, while the people of the nation were being brutalized byThe Red Terror, election results came in showing over 99% support for the Communist Party.

Saddam Hussein also used this tactic to great effect in a 1995 in a referendum aimed at creating the illusion of public support for his reign, with 99.9% of the population voting in favor.

China’s Mao, arguably the greatest murderer of all time, alsoforced his subjects into the ballot booth, using the results as propaganda to support his totalitarianism.

America is not yet a dictatorship, it is but an oligarchy with big dreams of becoming one. As such, we are still transitioning out of the ideology of personal liberty and self-rule, and are still dependent on the ritual of voting as acknowledgment of this heritage, even though selecting a president does nothing to favorably influence the direction of the nation.

The oligarchy still needs us to believe that we are free so that we won’t get serious about revolution, and voting is the best tool for maintaining this illusion. It serves the dual purposes of providing an outlet for our righteous indignation, pacifying our anger and sapping our political drive, and of acting as a survey to determine which policies will meet the least amount of popular resistance.

When we show up on election day, knowing full well the candidates we’ve been presented with do not represent our ambitions for this nation, we are tacitly expressing our willingness to being governed in this manner. We are contributing to the perception that our rulers have our permission to carry on, and by doing such we are acquiescing ever further to their dominion over us.

Final Thoughts

If you’re one of the few Americans who hasn’t already committed yourself, heart and soul, to one of the two majorly phony political parties dominating the U.S., and are still trying to decide which taste of bitters you’ll go for on election day, consider this: there is no Constitutional requirement that you vote.

There is not yet a law in America that obliges you to consent to the corruption, lies, criminality,war-mongering, fear, hate, stupidity, tyranny, surveillance and self-destruction being championed by today’s candidates. You are still free to opt-out and explore the moral highroad of conscientious objection, should your value system be so utterly insulted bythe fake election process taking place before us.

“The American people are being guilted, bullied, pressured, cajoled, intimidated, terrorized and browbeaten into voting. We’re constantly told to vote because it’s your so-called civic duty, because you have no right to complain about the government unless you vote, because every vote counts, because we must present a unified front, because the future of the nation depends on it, because God compels us to do so, because by not voting you are in fact voting, because the “other” candidate must be defeated at all costs, or because the future of the Supreme Court rests in the balance.

You are under no moral obligation to vote for the lesser of two evils. Indeed, voting for a lesser evil is still voting for evil.” ~John W. Whitehead

Jim Carrey Is Asked If He Is Religious His Response Is The Best I Have Ever Heard

I love Jim Carrey. He has been on a journey which has led him down many roads and the fact he uses his fame as a platform to spread a message which promotes spirituality and well being is just amazing.

In the video you are about to watch I especially love what he said in reply to the interviewer asking, ” Are you a Buddhist”? , he said ,”I’m a Buddhist, I’m a Christian, I’m a Muslim, I’m whatever you want me to be. It all comes down to the same thing. You’re in a loving place or you’re in an unloving place, if you’re with me right now you cannot be unhappy, it’s not possible.”
